Cacao Powder Health Bonus

Nothing is more rewarding than drinking something rich and decadent but also knowing that you are doing something good for your body. You’re giving yourself the best nutrients possible. It’s good for my immunity and mental focus. It has a positive effect on facial wrinkles and elasticity. I love giving myself nice cup of hot chocolate with cacao powder. It satisfied my chocolate cravings without all the hidden sugars. It can replace coffee and give me focused energy and tap into my heart without feeling the jitters and anxiety. Just pour half a cup of hot water into a mug and scoop of cacao powder, some almond milk or coconut whipped cream. You can even put it in your protein shake or smoothie, morning cereal or oatmeal. Add a smoky, earthy flavor to dishes, such as bean soups or chili. It is my go to indulgence when I am craving chocolate.

Cacao powder is the purest form of chocolate you can consume which means it’s raw and much less processed than cocoa powder or chocolate bars. Cacao is the high level of antioxidants and inflammatory properties. It contains more fiber and calories than cocoa powder since more of the nutrients from the whole bean is still intact. Cacao is an excellent source of monosaturated fats, cholesterol-free saturated fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber, natural carbohydrates, and protein that make it an excellent source of nutrients. Cacao is a natural antidepressant making our cells more able to receive serotonin.
